DRT 04.29.10: Reds Go for the Sweep

The Reds tried to blow their 6-0 lead last night, but managed to hang on for a 6-4 victory. They'll go for the sweep tonight against Roy Oswalt, who is 23-1 in his career against the Reds. Bronson Arroyo will look to rebound from that horrific start he had against San Diego. After today, the Reds travel to St. Louis for a big weekend series against the Cardinals.
Aroldis Chapman Update:
Chapman went six innings in a no-decision for AAA Louisville yesterday. He allowed 2 ER on five hits, with 2 walks and four strikeouts. 64 of his 99 pitches went for strikes. He did allow his first two homers of the year. He now is 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA, 14 hits, 12 walks, and 22 K's in 21 innings of work.
Standings Update:
1. St. Louis (14-7) [Thanks for nothing, Atlanta]
2. Cincinnati (10-11)
3. Chicago (10-12)
4. Milwaukee (9-12)
4. Pittsburgh (9-12)
6. Houston (8-12)

1.29 ERA
It skyrocketed to that after last nights "bad" performance.

Oh yea i forgot to mention this, his defense is even funnier IRL. I would be at least twice as effective in LF and i throw like a girl. Hunter pence's dropped ball made me lol.

This series didn't pan out like I anticipated. Maybe we scratch one out. Our fricking defense. I don't get the love for Pence. Do any of you think he throws like a girl.

Man, I just can't handle Redzone. I love the setup, but the posters over there are fricking nuts.

In that third at bat, Chapman started Winfree with a 96 mph fastball on the inside corner that he fouled off. That was followed by an 80 mph changeup on the inside corner that Winfree watched to put Chapman ahead, 0-2. He followed the two inside pitches with 98 mph heat on the outside corner and Winfree stayed alive by fouling it off. Chapman came back inside, but a bit too far with a 96 mph fastball for ball one. Then, Chapman dropped a 79 mph changeup on the outside third of the plate and Winfree was way ahead of it, popping it up in foul territory behind third for the second out of the sixth inning.
I love that shite.
