Yes it always does. But then I remember what happens once I get on the course and I usually come to my senses and stay home.

No doubt. But then I get to the course and wonder why the grass at the Augusta on my HD tv looks so much better than the stickers at Webb Park? Let down.

Yep. And the greens. After watching The Masters my putting, which already sucks, gets worse. I am tapping putts and reading 3 feet of break like the courses I play even have a stempmeter.

Is this true???

The members are million and BILLIONaires. Does the club really tell these guys no? I can understand a true "members only" time period. And I assume it is ALWAYS no-cart. But definitely none during this time.

BTW.... I don't think I have ever seen a cart path? Does it not have a cart path???

The course is shut down each May and reopens in October, thus eliminating a lot of wear and tear during the peak summer months.

There are golfers who go their local course without their clubs and sit in the lounge watching the Masters with other golfers who are doing the same thing.

The masters is my official start to the golf season.

And the first LSU game ends my golf season.

You want a hard situation, try having to watch The Masters while you are recovering from surgery, unable to walk without crutches. I had pulled the bag out to watch with me, but I couldn't take it(neither could the clubs), so I put'em back up.

It begins mine also. LSU football has no effect. I don't play on Saturdays. Too damn expensive.

I used to work at a golf course so I did not have to pay to play. I would only play on the weekends back then and it has kinda carried over.

Plus the last 2 years my work day ended at 5:30. It's hard to play much golf that late in the day at that time of year.
