Time for her to go! She clearly cannot get it done. There are about 12 teams in the nation she can't beat....

If you're going to start getting rid of minor sports coaches....why not start with DD Breaux in gymastics. She's been here 30 years and has one 1 SEC Championship which was in about 1980. I wish we would expect excellence in all aports. You look at a school like Florida...they are competitive in every single sport and their AD is not afraid to get rid of coaches who are not producing (i.e. Carolyn Peck). They had a down year in women's basketball, but their tennis team, softball, track and field, swimming and diving, golf both men and women always compete for NCs.

Has more to do with the talent available locally to them than their coaches.

You sure about that?

There's not enough local D-1 talent to help LSU softball win at the highest level. That's why they have to recruit nationally.

Absolutely. Larger state population than any other SEC school. Their primary competition instate FSU and MIA don't really care about anything other than football and baseball. IMG Academy being instate is a big plus for their recruiting in olympic sports.

Ah, Lee's weekly gotta fire somebody thread, sorry the baseball team isn't playing bad enough for you to bash

The new softball stadium with a top coach and solid fan base should allow LSU to compete better than they are.
I can understand being average in swimming or tennis - our facilities suck.

They're competing fine. They are the #14 team in the country. They're losing to teams ranked higher than them on the road. They haven't played well in the last few but you'd think their were 9-28 and not the other way around with the tards coming out of the woodwork lately.

The Florida softball team has 7 players from California and 1 from Texas. 8 members of their gymastics team are from out of state and only 3 of their tennis roster is from Florida. I think it has more to do with their facilities and their coaches.

Florida high schools have much better programs for the non-profit sports (golf, softball, soccer, tennis, swimming, etc.) My public high school in Orlando had crew (rowing), swimming, baseball, softball (slow and fast pitch), tennis, wrestling, golf, lacrosse, track, cross country, water polo, bowling, volleyball. Most of those have boys and girls teams.

By the way....Lady Tigers leading the 2nd game of the DH 3-2 heading to the last inning.

Apparently they just lost game 2. Of course, Gametracker got stuck when they were leading 3-2 in the top of the 7th. Not sure what happened.
