Yeah, one thing I've often noticed in these "authenticity" type discussions is, there are always a lot more people who think they know what is "authentic" than there are people who actually do.
Personally, I try not to be one to get to wrapped up in whether something is "authentic" or not, especially over and above the consideration of whether it is good or not.
And I surely don't claim to be an expert on what constitutes authentic Mexican. Although, I'm still trying to find a place in La. that acutally constructs from scratch a true black mole sauce, with the whole requisite 25+ or so ingredients necessary to do so.

true, but you can also look at some places and know it's not "authentic" for any part of mexico....unless American suburbs are now considered part of mexico.
