I was at work so I couldn't go to the game and I don't have ESPNU so I can't watch the game. How many innings did he throw, what were his stats, how did his pitches look, etc.?

He looked okay. He was struck on the foot my a hard hit ball early in the game. He had a little control issue right after that but collected himself.

He went three complete and started the fourth but gave up a solo home run and then reached his pitch count so they put in Matulis. He had 4 Ks I believe and overall he looked pretty sharp for the limited action hes gotten this season. He got into a couple of jams but some nice defensive plays got him out.

Velocity looked good, command of the curveball didn't look good

he got bailed out by some dumb UGA base running...pretty average outing

Looked, as Kyle Peterson said, "like a B/B-"...more like a C. And that is a compliment to him. His breaking stuff was not what it normally is. Still, good to see the big bastard back out there.

average for any pitcher really

they hit a lot of balls hard, his command was way off.

UGA isnt exactly stocked full of great hitters

it could have had something to do with getting hit.

positive is he is slowly but steadily getting his arm ready to go full out.

Yea, I agree

there were a lot of hard hit balls and he probably gives up 2-3 runs if not for some good luck

Gave up 3 hits in 3 innings and struck out 4 and gave up 1 run. He gave up a HR on his 55th pitch (that was his pitch count). Call it what you want to call it. He obviously isn't quite on his game, but to say it was just an average outing is overstating the negative.

i didnt think i was being negative at all

it is what it is

what would you call it?? if not average?? above average???

i would then have to question if you even saw the first few innings.

and 2 walks, a few more 3 ball counts, and several balls that were hit hard.

he just wasnt on his game, and he has all the excuses in teh world not to be. Im not bashing him, but he was average tonight. no big deal

Call it what you want to call it. But, it would be an outing that we would take just about every Friday night (assuming he could go more innings).

I don't want to argue semantics.

Don't flatter yourself. You're always supportive of LSU athletes, aren't you? And I was defending you for it.

Just like I did the other day. Another poster wrote that you're not fit to eat with pigs and I said yes you are......
