Should a great game. Our D is for real, but our offense is suspect but could be improved as we expect better OL play and provided we find an answer at QB.

We are somewhat conservative on both sides of the ball (especially if we build a lead).

We may be ranked in the top 15-20 to start the season (which means nothing).

How do you the two teams matching up? Objectively, who wins and by how much?

Have a great year guys Please take care of Bama and Florida this year.

I’m a little concerned. 3 on a 10 point scale. They have multiple guys on defense that’ll play on Sundays – athletic and fast. Like us on D….but I think their offense is worse than ours so we win. Hopefully it a G-tech style arse whippin though.

If their offense is worse than our's, they're in deep shite.

Why is this even being discussed. Since when is UNC even any good? We might not have a "solid" QB yet but if we lose to UNC, our program is dead...

Since Butch Davis showed up.

It will be our defense that wins the game for us. I wouldn't be surprised if they even put up some points.

Honestly, I think we looked terrible in the spring game. Both our offense and defense looked sub par by Tiger fans standards (or at least mine). With that being said, the ACC is such a weak conference that regaurdless of how good the game may look on paper, the SEC owns the ACC.

It sounds like you just said "we're going to win just because"

I think we scrape up enough offense to win, but your D is very much for real (and fast), and you got that big RB that worries me against our front 7. Should be a good one.

Thats pretty much how it works between the ACC and SEC. So.... yea I guess I did.

Hm, I've heard that before somewhere. Anyway, I expect a closer game than a lot of Tiger fans because of:
• Butch Davis
• UNC defense
• UNC returning most WRs and RBs; offense won't be as bad as 2009
• LSU's own challenges along both lines; at QB, and also starting mostly untested RBs

It should be a close, low-scoring game—unless maybe Shep runs wild for us or something.

Sounds just like LSU

We are conservative on defense, we'll give you yards but not points. Damn bend but dont break scheme. Our offense is anything but conservative. It's a crazy, insane scheme that involvs multiple looks, players switching in and out, QB reads, short sids option plays, etc.. But don't let that fool you into thinking we have a good offense. It causes more confusion then anything else, and our coaching staff will abandon plays that work and continue to force plays that get stuffed.

Seems to me LSU and NC are similiar teams. I watched NC a few times last year and ya'll weren't too good on offense, but you were better then us. Our secondary is going to be fantastic, LB play will be great, Dline is suspect. I think this will be a very good game...LSU and NC both have good defenses, so it will come down to QB play. How is NC's QB situation? LSU's is screwed up to say the least.

Dude, if we 'take care of Bama and Florida' that means we stomped the 'Heels, but thanks for the good wishes. I think it'll be a good game. NC will out-rank us going into the game. IF we can resolve even SOME of our QB problems and get some blocking from our O-line, we'll give you a game. Regardless, come tailgate with us all day before the game in the big parking lot just south of the Dome.
