Who thinks he'll start at quarterback for us in 2011?

Not me, but he and Chris Garret will push for the starting spot after this season. I've been waiting for people to bring him up after the "tiger bait text"

I think our fan base is really losing their minds.

The reason our QB's suck isn't a lack of talent...it's a lack of coaching and proper grooming.

JJ- 4 star
JL- 4 star (Elite 11)
CG- 4 star
(RS- 5 star QB/ATH)

If we can't develop QB's, everything else is totally useless.

This is ridiculous.

Like it or not JL or JJ are the qb until they graduate unless they have an injury.

I do not see Chris Garrett or anyone else stepping in front of either of these guys.

I don't think he should, he might by the end of the season. I mean les did start jj as true fresh so it's not out of the question, but he wasn't ready and he hasn't improved since. Lee should sit two years to develop physically and mentaly.

or... he starts this summer for the minor league team of whomever signs him this spring. He can pitch. He may go pro in a few weeks.

Maybe he will start in 2014, after he decides baseball is not for him.

Basically that Lee will be a Tiger and not go pro.

What other QB's do we have on the radar in case Lee does not end up playing for us?

Garrett looks good to me but will not be ready until one more year.

Obviously Garrett isn't as good as everyone dreams him up to be. He only got a few snaps in the spring game with two very questionable QBs ahead of him. Les Miles knows his job is on the line, so he wouldn't hold back the best QB because of seniority.

I don't think you can put total blame on the coaches for not developing these kids. Is Pete Carroll a horrible college coach because #1 overall QB Mitch Mustain never panned out at USC?

JJ - regardless of what 'star' he was, he's a talented kid, but seems a little immature on the football field. I hope that changes this year.

JL - looks like the first time he's ever put on pads everytime I see him. I've never seen anyone adjusting or pulling on their uniform so much trying to get comfortable. He just doesn't have it.

CG - Time will tell. I think it's way to early to say coaches haven't developed him.

RS - Nobody seriously thought he was going to be a full time college QB.

What does this have to do with quarterbacking ability. It's just a conditioned response or habit.

Some qb's lick their fingers, baseball pitchers and batters have all kinds of habits.

Adjusting his pads has nothing to do with his ability to play quarterback.

I saw him play last year and was thoroughly impressed. His team didn't have much talent but he made them competitive. he has an absolute canon for an arm and throws with good touch. I think he threw for over 280 yards on a sloppy messed up field in a losing cause. He will see plenty playing time in 2011. Starting??? Not sure about that.
