Why the negativity on RB? Because he's going to get paid 8 mil this year? Because he didn't play to your expectation? shite, maybe you wasn't a fan to his expectation. RB gave New Orleans great props on the show as well as Drew Brees. Like him or not, he is a part of this team but your loyalty seems to be out of check.

Oh no!!! Call the loyalty police.

I do not like it when such an average player gets the limelight, when it is clear that so many others on the team deserve it over him.

Yes his 8-10 million a year contract has been a huge waste of money on a sub par talent. I can not wait to trade him away.

you don't like winning a championship? how could the team get better? it's not like we are losing major parts of the team because Bush is draining so much cap space.

the formula Loomis and Payton put together worked... why change it?

You know how I know it's the offseason?

When a normal thread turns into a Reggie hater thread. You'd think winning would change some people, but no. We all know he's not worth the $$ he's getting paid. Look for renogotiation this offseason.

We did not win a championship because of Reggie Bush. He was mainly on the sidelines all season. If your logic is correct then we should keep Grant....never should have lost Fujita. Those two players played a whole lot more than Reggie did.

All that money is going to be nice to spend on a high quality player. We could have gone after the "freak" this year with that kind of coin.

Reggie Bush 8-10 million. He is just not worth it!

Why aren't you spitting on Loomis for only paying Sharper $1.7 million last year? Yet you have no problem throwing Reggie under the bus cuz Loomis & Payton decided to let Reggie continue with his contract.

If performance/stat based contracts are all you look at, you should be foaming at the mouth that that this past year the Saints paid Leigh Torrence $1,015,200 and LS Jason Kyle $870K, but only paid Courtney Roby $535K, Thomas Moorestead $475, Pierre Thomas $465K, Tracy Porter $460K, and Carl Nicks $389K. You obviously know how to spend the Saints' money better than they do, so where is your outrage here?

Reggie has sub par talent? GTFO. You had to have meant "subpar rushing production". But even if you meant that, Reggie is the single most accounted-for player a defense faces when playing the Saints. Anytime Reggie steps on the field, the defense knows he is the Saints most lethal threat for getting a first down or TD. Whether or not it's true, whether or not it's justified, or whether or not it shows up on the stat sheet, defenses thinks he is the most lethal, which makes that perception true.It makes Reggie's mere presence invaluable.

Bottomline: the Saints divided up the salary cap dollars amongst 53 players and one of them they paid $7 million for being a defensively-perceived-feared-weapon, and we won a Super Bowl. I don't see how a single dollar spent by the Saints this year was in anyway a "huge waste of money".
