I don't think so. And I'm only trying to be realistic, but we are potentially a middle of the pack SEC team without him

+1... we need AR back. I am by no means a "negatiger", and I do not believe the sky is falling, but this team cannot succeed w/o AR

I don't think we will win it all without him, but I think we could definitely make it to the CWS without him. We'll host (and win) a regional no matter what, and then anything can happen in a 3-game super regional, and you're in Omaha ...

There's no question we're a better team when Ranaudo is pitching on Friday nights to open (and set the tone for) a series.

Not having AR tonight was hardly our downfall tonight. You can't win if you don't score runs, and 2 runs in an SEC game will not get you the W, usually. It'll be a good thing when we get him back.

middle of the pack without him??

CWS, prob not

tonights problem wasnt pitching. It was hitting. And didnt catch teh whole game, but we had 2 errors also. and sub par baserunning.

Yeah, AR wasn't the problem tonight but we do need him back big time.

it seems that a lot the intensity is not there.. i guess that makes sense, we lost some leadership and some pretty intense guys from last years team.. Mahtook is really the only guy that fits that mold this year.. LSU was just an intimidating team last year..

it was both... horrible all the way around.

Ross hit his usual 4th inning self-destruct button.

Also, I'm not a believer in throwing 2 freshman out there on opening SEC night in a tight game with nerves high. The bomb hit off reed still hasn't landed

Our pitching is really thin.

Didnt we get hosed by arky in the opening game last year? Its early. AR or not, this team has other problems to work thru. Just like last years team did. This team will be fine.
Its not like Miles is in the dugout.

Dj, Ryan, Jared, Sean, and especially Coleman are big losses. It takes some time to replace these guys. They even started off hitting poorly last year. And we don't have a Coleman which hurts even more with Ranaudo hurt. LSU is a shade of what it was last year. No dominate pitching without Ranaudo and the lineup hasn't gelled yet. They'll get better as the season goes on but winning the SEC will be tough. Not surprised at all about tonight and won't be if Arky wins the series.

Still CWS bound. It's early.. so LSU had a bad night at hitting. It happens.

I don't know if you can say that definitely especially with Ranaudo as a question mark. This team is a lot different than last years and I know they struggled last year, but that group already proved they could make it.

Ross pitched good enough to win. Not exactly horrible.

What did we have, 5 hits?? I think Hanover had 3 of them.

Watkins and Nola were on base twice in 8 plate appearances They are our catalysts

Dean and GIbbs combined 0-8 after then

pitching was good enough to win tonight

Maybe - PM has done an incredible job the last two seasons at finding the right team chemistry but in both cases it was about 20+ games into the season.

For example, last year the Lemahieu move to 2B for whatever reason seemed to make a difference.

So even without AR I wouldn't rule it out.

Its just ridiculous to be able to say we wont make it to the CWS right now, with or without Ranaudo.

2 years ago we were horrible until halfway through the season- Made CWS

Last year- Also had 3 losses at this time in the season.

Give it time guys.
