MRV (multi room viewing), not MVR

Only complaint with DirecTV is the damn channel lag. If you have the HD DVR, it is painstakingly laggy when you change channels or even browse the guide. I can't stand it. Feels like a processor issue. Hopefully the next generation HD DVR receiver will have more horsepower.

That can be annoying when trying to watch two games at once. The other thing is the time delay compared with cable. It never fails that a friend calls me while a play is happening and they haven't hiked the ball on my set yet

I have directv and like it except they don't have Cox Sports. What is this MRV though? Can someone give a basic explanation?

I have the HD box in my living room and just a basic box in my bedroom.

Put me in the minority then. I have DISH and like it better than DirectTV. Father in law has DirectTV and I don't care for it.

DISH has MRV already. Also, Not that it really matters, but DISH has SIRIUS and DirectTV has XM as music channels. I know its all same company now, but whatever channel line up you are used to.

not sure, but it probably means multiroom DVR

dish has had this for a couple years, my mom has it

Uverse also has it, it would be a huge plus IMO, being able to access your recorded programs on any TV with a box in your house
