<----17 and i really don't favor the piped-in music. then again, this is coming from a trumpet player. but for real, the band definitely needs breaks; that's a good bit of damn playing, my high school band doesn't even play the third quarter, and our chops are shot by the end of the game. and i've seen lsu's stands charts. i guarantee you'd rather listen to that stuff than "enter sandman" or "back in black" clips.

Maybe this has already been said, but most of the PIM is played before the gmae, when the band is walking down to do the pre-game show, or when the band is walking down or back from the halftime performance. I would qualify as old, on this board, and I don't mind the PIM, as long as it supplements the band. Not as a replacement for the band.
