losing 1-0 to Tulane right now.. usually doesnt mean anything for midweek games, but they are being 1 hit in the top of the 8th...

i said that they would suffer the same hangover that plagued Illinois last year after coming to BR and taking 2 from LSU.. well see, but their bats sure arent doing anything tonight after hitting everything, and finding all the holes against the Tigers last weekend..

Kansas has hit some balls on the nose but they have nothing to show for it yet. Wind is blowing in pretty good....as it has for the last 2 weeks.

Going to the bottom of 8 now, still 1-0. Grafagnini is having a heart attack.

I've never felt worse for an announcer than I do for Graf. I mean you have to admire his passion but the guy really does live and breath Tulane athletics (particularly baseball) which has to be hard. He's been on 790 The Zone here in Atlanta before (the host of the show has him on for comic relief basically) and the guy really has nothing else going on in his life.

I haven't heard him in years but if he's still like he was before, I can't believe that he hasn't had a mental breakdown or a massive stroke by now.

Honestly, I can't remember how many times I listened to him and thought...wow, and Tigers fans think Hawthorne is doom and gloom.

Well it was a good win for a team that starts 6 or 7 true freshmen each game. In midweek games (especially with back to back 5 game weeks) it is a shocker to see a 1-0 game.

As for Graf, he is doing better in the doom and gloom department. He is a homer but he has gotten better and he does know baseball well.

That's right. We all know how they award national championships for leading 10-9 late in the first half.

They might as well hang a banner saying "We led LSU 10-9 once in the second quarter! Please like us!"

But what if LSU wins the Arkansas series this weekend? Will that create a worm whole in the space/time continuum?
