Saw him at ACL Fest last year with Burning Spear. It was the highlight of ACL for me.

his blues shite is actually pretty damn good. If he would stick to that and stay away from pop he would be great, but he likes $$ too much.

John Mayer is an excellent guitarist and his music is great.

I took my wife as a christmas present. I never really heard any Mayer stuff save for what is played in the gym satellite radio and his old girl songs that were everywhere about 7 years ago. I was actually blown away by the dude's ability playing guitar and in writing songs. He a few video game references which I thought were pretty damn funny considering he's supposed to be this big hearthrob.
