Yes. That's what the Royals do. If you're gonna pick a last place team, go with the Nationals. I expect them to be on the rise. It just depends on if you favor the AL or NL. If you want an AL team, go with the Rays. If you want an NL team, go with the Nationals.

Pick the Angels or the Cards. 2 of the top managers in the game if you like strategery.

Anyways, looking for a fun maybe young team to cheer/keep an interest in MLB this year. Rather a good team than a sucky team

You've mentioned Heyward for the Braves. We've got some other young talent like Tommy Hansen.

How awesome of a story would it be for the Braves to make a run for Bobby Cox's last year with some exciting young talent and some older guys like Chipper who may not be around much longer.

Wait, are you calling the Rays a last place team? Watch baseball much?

I need more convincing with player names and stuff like that.

Ken Griffey Jr.

Probably one of a handful of power hitters who actually didn't use roids to get the homeruns they have. He is a great guy and this will be his last year and hurrah.

eta......also one of the best young pitching talents in baseball....King Felix Hernandez. He will win the A.L. Cy Young award this year.

I hated it when he left seattle even though he left on funky terms but I have always loved him as a player. Arod can kiss a dick......I saw him at least 20 times when he was with the rangers just so I could go boo him.

Mariners,

Felix Hernandez, Cliff Lee, Ichiro etc etc.

Isn't your power lineup...more of great pitching/Defense.

eta: oh and Griffey..(though hes hard to watch sometimes now)

Ya sure. They are all dirty at some point some time. Tiger, Cal Ripken... you name him and i probably think he's guilty of something at some time.

ken mothafreakin griffey to the junior
and ichiro suzuki.

haha but seriously i always recommend the dodgers to people looking for a young/talented team that is a winner..

if not them then i say rangers.. they got vlad now!

wildcard to think about: chicago white sox (great pitching and ozzie guillen)

Rangers

-Explosive offense
-Lots of steals (Julio Borbon, Elvis Andrus, Ian Kinsler)
-Lots of HRs (Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Chris Davis, Kinsler)
-Great Defense (Andrus)
-Young, talented pitchers (Neftali Feliz, Derek Holland)
-One of the best power bullpens
-Projected to win the AL West by 2 of 3 major projections
