Good chance we are without smith, good chance opponent is without best dt tandem in NFL or starting qb (big Ben). Wonder if they consider atlanta now.

How about Detroit? We can pick up where we left off.

I don't see it.
People don't tune in to see defensive linemen, they tune in for Brett.
Even if he doesn't make the decision public before the schedule is released, I'd bet money the NFL rolls the dice on the Vikes.
NFC title game rematch with Brett Farve? To good to pass up, and even if he does retire(doubtful) it is still a good matchup

I'll give you 5 to 1 odds that he "retires" and then changes his mind.

The Vikes won a SB?
I don't think their fans got the memo, not the way they're still bitching.

I think he meant that if you pick the Vikings or the Steelers its a win-win. Either rematch or last two super bowl winners.

Why would we be without Smith?

I'm under the impression that the Starcaps situation isn't looking great. Definitely hope that, if there is a suspension, we play the Vikings in the first 4 games.

you mis-read my post.
there is 1 of 2 matchups that will take place. its either the vikes or steelers.
A.The NFCCG rematch
B.Matchup between the SB43 champion Steelers and SB44 champion Saints.
both would be great way to start the season.

Everyone will tune in because the Saints are playing.
