I've really never seen the fascination with Mendes

She is very ethnically generic looking IMO.
Despite few people on here being surprised, there are a few articles that say people close to her were surprised. I wonder if it isn't just a PR tactic, since she has vowed to spend the rest of her life with one person already.
Meh... they're coming out with Ironman 2 now. I effing loved Ironman and I really hope it won't be tainted. (ha... I said taint.)
It could be good... there is a certain stigma toward sequels that is kind of unfair. People don't talk about good sequels because most good movies do it right the first time.

I'm under the impression that the Starcaps situation isn't looking great. Definitely hope that, if there is a suspension, we play the Vikings in the first 4 games.
I think his spirit was broken when the Andrew Hatch thing backfired. LSU can keep throwing raises at him but it doesn't look like that's healing his wounds.
In all honesty his job was a lot easier with an experienced quarterback and O line that was motivated and capable of blocking. Inability on the field really limits play calling options, but last season was really an embarrassment. Even though JJ should know a lot more of the play book this year, and Shep provides a viable option, I think Crowton's wizardry may have stagnated. We'll see.

I'm about to start season five on Netflix and I'm hooked (okay that was a stupid joke, but you liked it).
I agree that the first season was the best so far. And Nancy does get less likable as the seasons progress. She gets more interesting and the characters get less predictable, too.
I hate the son, Silas. He doesn't seem to add anything. Kevin Nealon and Celia's ugly Jewish lesbian daughter are the funniest people, though I hated them both at first. If you stick around Albert Brooks shows up, but it's not his best character ever. I'm still a fan. All in all it's solid.
Worth it.

Do you live in NO and are you a chick?
Yes to both.
In the actual magazine article in City Business someone (I think from the DDD) says people underestimate the number of residents because the zoning isn't residential or something like that. I totally agree that someone could stand to accommodate a need and make some money if they put a legit grocery store in there.

just a small halfway decent grocery store is sorely needed, and it would make a fortune....and increase the convenience of the area a great deal.

Investors don't realize how many people actually live in the WD and CBD.

by the time I DID see it, the show had been cancelled and I realized how awesome it was. My guess is this sums up the feeling of probably 75% of everyone who says they love the show.
Probably more like 95%. Sucks we all found it too late, but the rewatching is rewarding, too. You pick up some of the more subtle stuff.

If there's a God, Omar will be spun into Treme.
Meh, it sort of sounds like Molly when you say it with a redneck accent.
I don't think her time is up... she's being pimped pretty hard.
She is aggravating as hell with that lisp and retard speak, though.

Tell me about it. For the last 50 years, they've done nothing but give the best actress and supporting actress award to Sisters.
I think you mean sistas.

re: Are Everson Griffen or Carlos Dunlap better than Ray Edwards?

No its comparable to about middle of the first round money.
Larry English, DE drafted 16th last year by SD, got a 5 year, $13.5m contract. Edwards will cost at least $6m a year. When details on Kampman's deal comes out, I think he's going to be in that $6m a year range. Edwards will get at LEAST that much.
I like the idea, but Edwards had 3 hosses next to him and he only had 10 sacks in his previous 26 starts.
