Whoa,

I don't comment very much but please remember that its March. Lamabe, Bertman, and Mainieri all have used March to test their teams - its a hallark of semi-competant coaching - Smoke excluded. I actually enjoy seeing how they are willing to test ideas and to see players who will "step up later". Please, this ain't football. Do you really believe after all of these years of national championship baseball that out of conference schedule matters in MARCH?

Yes...he really does. And he has alot of facts and numbers and quotes from coaches and all of that stuff to support him. In fact...ALL of the college baseball coaches agree with him. So you are the fool and an idiot...

So do I.

"Matters", meaning what exactly??

that it will make or break our Omaha chances??? no

does it matter to develop some type of team chemistry? Does it help to see who is ready to play for the SEC schedule? Does it matter to see who else is going to be your weekend starters?

of course it matters in a sense.

if you have question marks on your team, and you are looking for guys to step up, do you want to see if they match up with William and Mary type athletes, or a better team similar to what we'll see in the SEC?

There's so much parity in college baseball. It's always good to be tested before it matters. You see how each player reacts. You can do that against borderline NAIA teams.
