my point is that LSU fans get up in arms as soon as someone says something..even if the point is valid..but majority of people can't see a valid point through the P&G glasses and take it as a insult.
And that's what the majority of the thread was..which is why i said it's full of insecurity.

its hard to debate against the theory that a team like ULL or SELU prepping the team better for the SEC play as opposed to William and Mary, Centenary, and Brown.

but we pratcie against each other day in and day out??? And you ask me if i think this is football???

do you think Anthony R. is out there throwing live pitching to our guys every day?? You think they intra squad every day once the season gets going??

WTF?? We "practice against the best"???

you keep arguing a point with me i never disagreed with. all i disagreed with is the level of putridness(thats right putridness) you're making lsu's schedule out to be. and not just you but a lot of people in this thread.

Now...I will give LSU credit for scheduling SLU...that will help their RPI late in the season being a battle of two top 15 teams

SLU isnt even in the Top 15 right now, you can hope all you want

Again..this isnt football. You need to get out of that mode.

ANd Again...what do you expect our SEC record to be? You didnt answer that. We were 20-10 last year with arguably a weaker OOC schedule. I dont think it matters that much...as long as our guys are getting some work.

Did I mention this isnt football?

My pt is that a tougher OOC schedule this year wouldnt even make a 1 game difference in our SEC record. But if you can give an example of how in the past.. LSU.. with a better OOC schedule... has had a better SEC record than last year (with a horrible OOC schedule)...then Ill gladly apologize.

There is absolutely no reason why LSU should schedule a bunch of baseball powers that will demand return trips. Not when we just built a cathedral of a college stadium and can fill it up (mostly) regardless of who comes in

This isn't football and OOC really doesn't matter. Not when we face the SEC schedule....which is already brutal on its own

but you want to contend that "we practice against the best, we dont need a tough OOC schedule"???

what do u think goes on at our baseball practices?

as far as SEC records, we shouldnt lose any more than 11-12 SEC games in a given year.

and with our scheduling last year, at least we played teams from big conferences. Villanova, UCF, Illinois. as opposed to Centenary, W&M and a team like Brown.

in Skips last year, for reference, we played UVA, Houston, AZ St, and UCF

That's laughable...villanova? really? Id take Pepperdine, Kansas, and Centenary against Villanova, UCF, and Illinois any day...ANY DAY.

And he went 18-12 in SEC. PM finished 18-11-1 and 20-10 in what i guess you would consider sub-standard OOC schedules...thanks for making my pt.

Right, since every year for the last 10 years, we have ran out the same exact team.

lol, you are comparing our SEC record from 10 years ago compared to one from last year?

first you compare it to football, now you are going to compare SEC records that is a decade a part?

wow, thats all I can say.

I still havent seen a legit reason not to beef up our OOC scheduling somewhat. We dont even have to schedule powerhouses...but W&M, Centenary, Brown??? come the frick on

Ya...cause college baseball was Waaay more competitive 10-20 years ago than it is now...

football has alot more speed/power involved...so maybe a game against a powerhouse might get LSU a little more prepared. But hell..I dont even think a strong OOC in football makes that much a difference except for the voters.

And you still havent shown why LSU needs to beef up its OOC schedule to improve its play in the SEC. I know one thing...you were never on a debate team...

yall should read the baseball america chat regarding this subject. dude started throwing a little temper tantrum with the people asking questions.

even went as far as to say "if you dont like our precious poll and its methods you can go somewhere else."

again i dont care about the poll, i just thought how offended the little dude got was hilarious.

also his reasoning was that uva's 2-1 weekend over ecu is more impressive than anything lsu has done. thats fine i guess.

then regarding fsu he just goes "there was just no room for them to move up." ha great logic.

we are not going to get in state teams to play a weekend series at LSU.. for the most part, teams in Louisiana are hosting northern teams this early in the season.. most of our midweek scheduling is done against LA teams..
