I think he should be a terrific center and we may benefit from him staying at C while Longergan may move to OG.

The knee definitely gave him some touble last year.
Thoughts?

I'm guessing T-Bobs last day at center was against Penn State. Daddy lashed out at Miles over the Ole Miss debacle and bashed Miles and the coaching staff for weeks on end.

T-Bob was the main problem with the O-line

many fans forget that last yr was t-bob's first year as a college player. he redshirted in yr one and was injured in yr 2. it is a given he will improve and the "head hunters" on here (who don't know shite) will forget about him and this past year. their unrelenting critisism is not fair but welcome to the spotlight. funny how an OL rarely gets good press; seems they get either bad press or no press.

I think the knee was okay by the time the season rolled around, but that his game suffered from the loss of strength the knee injury caused over time. If he has a good offseason in the weight room he should be fine.

T Bobs knee was giving him problems throughout the entire season last year. If his knee is better he will have a much better season.

I really hope both T-Bob and the O Line both improve greatly, but I disagree with this statement.

The criticism of the 2009 offensive line was completely warranted and appropriate. They simply did not perform up to the standards of an LSU offensive line, and were perhaps the worst-performing line I've seen at LSU in decades.

This line has to understand its responsibility to perform in 2010, because after watching 2009, I'm not entirely sure that they "get" it.

I mostly agree with this, but the theory that the O-line's problems were primarily because of Hebert and Dworaczyk has always been absurd. I think that the poster you were quoting was talking about criticism of Hebert in particular, not of the O-line as a unit.

Unless he gains alot of weight, he will still get pushed around this yr.

Did you see any positive signs with T Bob? If so, explain. Thanks.

You do realize that Lonergan played center against Penn State!! And he was getting abused. Try to have a little knowledge before you call out players!

T-Bob or Lonergan were not the main problem with the O-Line. The main issue was a change in blocking schemes, an o-line coach who could not teach it properly, and an OC that could not decide on a philosophy. The lack of size and experience in the middle of the o-line did not help. When you combine all of these, you get what we saw.

This is the result of recruiting "smaller, more athletic linemen". So far all they have shown is they know how to land when pushed.

I think T-Bob will like Miller, a good Oline reserve that can play many positions, but because of his bad knees can not start.

Great summary. Hitt was on his arse at least as much as the others. The blocking scheme was poor AND poorly taught. Add in some lightweights on the interior and a QB that would not release the ball and it was the perfect storm of offensive suckage.

T-Bob will be awesome if we play against a bunch of teams with 220lb slow DTs. Otherwise he'll get mauled again. Glad to see Miles say in the paper today that this year they were going to try to play the best players on the o-line since his job might be on the line rather than just playing he and Stud's pets again.

I love how people keep bringing size into these discussions. T-Bob is listed bigger than the guy he replaced last year.

And before anyone brings it up, yes I know the difference between program size and actual size, but I doubt they inflated T-Bob's numbers and not Brett Helms or anyone else.
