why pretty much scrap the Wildcat? you have the perfect player for it, ofcourse this is Miles and Crowton so that makes too much sense

He will still have the option to run wildcat plays from the quarterback position

We've never run the wildcat. All we do is run a QB draw with Shep. The wildcat recquires someone to be put in motion and potentially receive the handoff.

"We'll eventually get to 'Wildcat' some time during this spring," he said. "I don't know to what extent we'll run it and how big a piece it will be, but we'll have a look at it. There'll be some of those experiments."

The wildcat is a bullshite, gimmicky offense anyway. I cant stand that shite.

How have we not gotten a TE coach yet? Seems odd that it's taken so long
Posted on 2/24/10 at 5:24 pm to Choctaw
just bc you can't stand it doesn't mean it's not a very effective set.

if Shep is ok with it, so am I.
Posted on 2/24/10 at 5:26 pm to rsb831
at least it looks like Shep will see the field more next year

When a team other than a high school team uses it to win a championship then i'll change my mind.

It's one set in an offense, it's not something you run exclusively
ETA: Bama just won one running it w/ Ingram, so much for that theory

Shepard = the next coming of Skyler Green

pretty much. and I thought we had the guys to run it effectively. I hate that we didn't run more zone read, with either JJ or Shep at QB. they looked good when they ran it.

running a few plays per game =/= running a Wildcat offense
