maybe try to keep some updates going-

MONROE, this Saturday, Jamie's Field of Dreams, 1-3pm, PT & Roby

PORT ALLEN, this Saturday, parade to City Hall, starts at 1pm, Tracy Porter & Randall Gay

---news last night said they expect 100,000 people. If you know Port Allen that might be crazier than 800,000 in NOLA.

Sharper's in Lafayette right now, but I think it may have been mentioned before. Signing autographs at Lafayette Health Club, then going party it up downtown tonight.

I work in Broussard, so I'm pretty close to the side of town where Lafayette Health Club is at, I'm thinking about going over during lunch to get an autographed shirt.

Only 5,000 additional general admission tickets for Wednesday are being made available to guarantee a quality spectator experience for those who will follow the feature foursome. Hometown hero and New Orleans Saints wide receiver Devery Henderson is expected to return to Opelousas in March to be honored during a day of special events.

"He has given us two dates, March 13 and March 20. We will come up with a schedule as soon has we have the date confirmed," said Eva Noel with the mayor's office.

She said whichever day is selected, it will be marked with a parade, a pep rally, a small autograph session and numerous other events.
"It is going to be something special. A lot of schools want to participate," Noel said.

One high point of the day will be the presentation of a street sign to the local sports star in recognition of the city's decision to rename Jefferson Street in his honor.

It's not but it would be stupid to not capitalize on easy money if it's offered to you.

considering he could be out of a career if he slips walking down the stairs this morning, I'd say he needs to make his money while he can.

as stated earlier they are planning for 100K people in Porter Allen.

I dunno what guys like Hartley get but Brees gets $50K for a 3 hour appearance. That doesn't piss me off cuz I'd bet all of his goes to his foundation. The places these guys go, like Hartley, are making around $6000(300 x $20+). Nothing wrong with them getting a cut of what they are making off of them. Most of them make plenty enough free appearances besides those too.

My hint: save your Super Bowl memorabilia until training camp for autographs. There I have gotten a personalized autograph from Brees. There the rookie and fringe players even have time to chit chat with you a little.
