I owe Duang Tawan an apology

I apologize for not eating there more. I am sorry for driving to Thai Pepper and Thai Kitchen when this was right down my house.
I went last night with a group of friends and the food was awesome.
I got the coconut-chicken soup which was a nice portion flavored with lime leaves and lemon grass. It was very good
I also got the Thai steamed dumplings and they were delicious as well. came with about six dumplings stuffed with ground pork, ground shrimp, and veggies. very good.
For my meal i ordered the duck and pineapple curry. It was a nice sized portion of spicy curry with grilled pineapple chunks and large pieces of tender fried duck. curry was outstanding.
my friends got other dishes, like the pad thai, red curry, and another noodle dish. they enjoyed their meals. Also, another got sushi and enjoyed it. I tasted a roll and the fish tasted fresh and the rolls were full and packed tightly.
This will be my new go-to for Thai. I feel absolutely stupid that I lived down the street from this place and never went back after one visit a year ago. I will be going more frequently

Been looking for decent thai, where is this place?

The duck pineapple curry is my favorite thing there. I just wish they would give me MORE of it.

I found the portion adequate, but I agree. It is so good I wanted more!

i went for the first time friday night and really enjoyed it. i also had the pineapple curry duck, plus some sushi. the duck was great and the sushi was adequate. my wife is a vegetarian and they had a ton of options for her. we'll definitely be back. worst part of the night for me was trying to decide what to eat, the menu has a lot of options.

RAMA is my go-to place. Went to Duang Tawan and got take-out one night, and was unimpressed. I'll have to give it another shot.

i've eaten at Rama twice. food is good but i live to far away to make it a regular spot. also the service is so autrocious that i can't stand it.

The problem w/ Rama is that they have 2 waitresses working the entire restaurant. I agree with you-- I've walked out w/o getting my food on more than one occasion, just because everything was moving so slow.

I hit this place up for lunch regularly. Impressed every time. Lunch portions are great, and the sushi is always fresh.

Finally people are trying this place after the numerous threads me and you have started.

The sushi was very impressive looking. When I went I deny order any, but my two friends did and liked it. Another table got some huge specialty rolls and they looked awesome.
I tried some pieces of my friends and it was good. But it won't change my allegiance to Waka House
