seen play? randy livingston, shyrone carey and

ANTHONY Bodreaux (who signed w/LSU but couldn't get in) he led an average challmette high club to an undefeated season, including a route of a highly ranked 5A holy cross. They coulda won state in 3A if not for an errant play by the defense in a loss to the eventual champion Lutcher. That kid was playing offense and defense when it counted; and I watched all 370 lbs. of him pull a 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' game on abunch of 190 lb. mandevillian linebackers.

Jerry Ball (pro bowl nose tackle w/ Detroit Lions) was a year behind me in HS. He almost single-handedly carried my HS to the 5A state championship. He was a running back then and just would crush the average HS player.

they were making the playoffs, and sending 2-3 kids a year to D-1 schools to play football around that time.

Chris Hawkins was a badass runningback in high school (not much help from the rest of the team)

tasmin Mitchell played in junior high and was obviously freakishly tall, making him a good reciever

oh lonell turner (last play sack against Ohio state) was good

I played with Lyle hitt... He was a beast at silliman institute

that's all I've seen in person/went to highschool with not the best ever

I was in same district as Toefield.. he was unreal.. Antron Szeiber was the QB for independence, he was like a right handed version of Mike Vick.. He made alot of jawdropping plays.. Also i was able to watch Alley Broussard. what a monster he was. He killed Covington in the playoffs 1 year. They could have had 15 guys on defense and they could not have stopped him..

I'm still pretty young, but here's a Washington flavor for the thread.

Football:
Jake Locker - Did everything. QB, Safety, KR, PR. All-state since his freshman year. Passed for 1,603 yards and 27 touchdowns with just three interceptions as a senior, while also rushing for 1,338 yards and 24 touchdowns. Parade All-American. Offers from anywhere he wanted. USC recruited him as a Safety, now he's the #1 NFL QB prospect in college football next year.

Nate Robinson - Quickness like you wouldn't believe. Played and started as a true Freshman at Washington (When we were good). Probably would've been a 1st round CB if he stuck with football.

Jonathon Stewart - Probably one the greatest RBs to come out of Washington... behind Corey Dillon. RB for Carolina.

Basketball:

All 1st round picks in the NBA Draft, besides Bradley (who will be).

Brandon Roy - NBA All Star, ROY

Spencer Hawes - #10 pick in the 2007 draft.

Nate Robinson (again) - absolute stud in high school.

Aaron Brooks - Breakout season this year for the Rockets.

Jamal Crawford - Stud for many years in the NBA. 4th player in NBA history to drop 50 for 3 different teams.

Avery Bradley - ESPN's #1 overall recruit last year. Starting guard for Texas this year.

Rodney Stuckey - Starting guard for the Pistons this year. Averaging 17.5 ppg and 5 apg. Friend dated him for a couple of years.

Marvin Williams - #2 pick in the 2005 NBA Draft.

Baseball:

Jake Locker (again) - Played against him and with him. Would have been a mid 1st round pick in the MLB Draft if he didn't tell the scouts he was 100% set on football and wouldn't sign. Threw 95 mph. Played CF and hit 3 in the lineup. Hit around .650 with some absolute bombs. Was 25-26 on Stolen Bases (slipped and fell once). Fastest player I've ever seen on the basepaths.

MC Reynolds - Mansfield QB

Mel Branch - DeRidder Lineman

(played against both of above)

Billy Cannon - Istrouma

Max Fugler - Ferriday Center

Cecil Collins - LHS

Eddie Fuller - LHS

Michael Ford - LHS

David Detz - LHS safety

eta - Ted Paris - old timer Leesville player who was MVP at LSU at guard, played RB in HS. couple of years ahead of me in high school.

btw - Leesville High School has produced some badass f'ball players for LSU.
