what does that mean? He only receives the minimum pay. How much is that? Boston is a very expensive area to live.

He was a second round pick, so I'm assuming he's making minimum NBA salary.

Are you kidding with this shite? Millions of people live in the northeast without making 900k a year. Jesus Christ...

doesn't the league minimum start at just under half a million for a rookie, increasing automatically for every year you are in the league? if so, he is likely making over a half million a year by now--even at base compensation. low by professional athlete standards but he isn't starving.

I wouldn't have taken less than $3,000,005

He's base year compensation, which affects his trade value. Basically his contract value for trade purposes is lower than his actual salary because he just got a new deal.

Dude's a millionaire, living expenses aren't really a concern.

Did the original poster imply that even pro athletes can't afford to live in Boston. What an idiot.

I'm sure he's envious of immigrant migrant workers. OTOH, I'm sure they let him sleep in the locker room, and thank God for the free showers.

ASH, Thanks for the information. It looks like he needs to pick up his production otherwise he may not qualify for a pension. don't you have to be in the league 5 or 7 years?
