Maybe I'm just "upset" or "sour grapes" we didn't get him but in retrospect I really kind of laugh at how badly we wanted him. I mean, come on, how much would he have actually played in our offense? He's a smaller scat back and we simply never use guys like that. Probably not a huge loss.

I wish we could have landed him. He's not really that small, not a large frame though..

He woulda been killer on 3rd downs.

It's more about having bigger stars, and showing them off to all of your friends and every woman you meet.

I'm very curious to see how he does in college.

Really he showed very little skills of a good RB other than elite speed.

If he's going to succeed, Oregon is the best place to showcase his abilities.

Word is he wasn't sent a LOI because they were afraid he might sign it!

5'11 195lbs is not a "small scat back."

He's bigger than most people think.

Anything under 200 is considered small in our
offense.

And he's definitely a scat-type back.

I think he will shine in Oregon's offense.

He is a very shifty player, but he runs like a very small back. He had a few very big games in high school, but he had a lot of games in which his production was not very good. The fact that he got very few plays in the all star game that was on TV was a sign that the other backs outperformed him significantly in the pre-game workouts.

Everyone wanted him because he was rated highly...likely way too high.

The PAC-10 will be a better place for his running style than the SEC, IMHO.

That is the most asinine logic ever. Seastrunk could put on 6 lbs in one week. Then he would be considered a what a big back?

He doesn't fit our offense at all imo.

Running in the PAC 10 from a spread offense will be right up his alley. A back up RB at Oregon this year got the start, after LeGarret Blount showed his pugilistic talents, and that guy got about 1000 yards. He will thrive there.

it was certainly a hype-cycle that fed on itself. After seeing him in the game on ESPNU earlier, I didn't think he was a must have at all...mainly from the effort perspective.

The young man made a mature decision that was in his own best interest. Probably in the best interest of all involved.

we'll never know unless we play the Ducks. I tend to agree with your assessment and never expected him to wear P&G.

I think the kid last year CM is better than LS. I love the fact we picked up Blue Ware and Gore. Shepard looks like he is going to be our all purpose back.

I doubt he would play at all this year. Ware is prob not going to see such time unless there are injuries.

Joe McKnight is projected to be a second round pick and is rated the seventh overall RB.

Charles Scott is projected to be a fourth round pick, and is rated the tenth overall RB.

Keiland Williams is projected to be a sixth round pick, and is rated the twentieth overall RB.

Maybe Scott and Willims should have gone to USC, where they would have been developed more and would probably be drafted higher using your logic.
