2011 will be lesser Brady!

Somewhere along the line, the "no-offense and moderate hustle" will be all TJ's.

It doesn't matter where anybody stands on this matter. It is what it is.

It seems we played better, EARLY, than we are playing today. The SEC schedule may have alot to do with this matter and development! BUT WE ARE IN THE SEC! We cannot get out, because we don't have the talent and coaching to survive.

Next year will be less Brady! I know this is the view of many, as they overlook the abysmal situation and immediate future of LSU MBB.

It boggles my mind, how TJ is getting various and assorted mulligans and John Brady was hammered at every crossroad. I guess he really should have stayed out of the Gold Club, big mistake.

is long gone. Let it go. Get over your bitterness. Don't like or think the current coach is good enough- ok, don't watch or support the team but your 11 post of Brady, Brady, Brady is foolish and has already made you a low quality poster

These kids have nothing to be ashamed of. They leave it all out on the floor every night and we should all be proud of their efforts.

I have never been more proud of an LSU team than I was the 2001 team which battled every night and began to lay the foundation for the successes of the next 5 seasons. This season is remarkably similar. You may question their ability at times, but never their heart.

Ok John I know you are still bitter about LSU but don't you have better things to do besides post on an LSU message board?

Just let it go!

Thank God. Tj will have his players. Brady was one huge underachiever.

I love the Brady lovers/TJ haters. This guy went 13-3 in conference last year, Brady's best year he went 14-2. Compare the rosters from those two teams and tell me who had more talent.

Brady never took heat his first few years in Baton Rouge. If this continues in the next couple years, Trent will feel the heat about the same time Brady started feeling it.

TJ haters? Who's that? There are only Brady haters on this board. As for last year, all those players were recruited by Brady. Only Brady haters would even think of making the argument that it was somehow coaching. There was no difference in our game strategies last year. Looked exactly like what we ran with Brady. The only difference was the players played better after a shakey start. Game strategies are no different this year, either. All these supposed coaching differences are NEGATIGERS looking through their sci-fi 3D type glasses, and seeing what they want to see. That's why they say last year was all TJ and this year is all Brady. Twilight Zone!

I think its time to let the JB comments go. Denying the success he had at LSU demeans those wins, those seasons, and those players. It isn't necessary. The decision was made to go in a different direction and no matter what some may think, it wasn't because of posters on a message board. It was because LSU basketball wasn't putting asses in the seats. Plain and simple.

John rubbed some people the wrong way, and no matter where you go, it is tough being the "guy" following THE GUY. Ask Smoke about that. That LSU was competitive AT ALL in the years immediately following the NCAA sanctions was impressive. Still, the up-down wins and losses coupled with the low attendance numbers even in the good years was too much. Blame the AD or Chancellor or whatever, but it happened.

Trent is trying to build a program his way. He isn't the kind of coach that will try to force square pegs into round holes, so you have to give him a season or two so he can recruit and establish the foundation of what he wants to do. In the meantime there will be struggles. Allow that to happen and maybe LSU will be a consistent player in CBB again. There is no reason that we shouldn't be. It's been established that LSU can win titles in football and baseball, why not basketball too?

You make some excellent points. Had Brady's tenure not coincided with the accelerted erly entry to teh NBA by college players the picture would be alot different. Before I get a bunch of "every good program deals with the NBA", it is too difficult for a program that has not had long term success to withstand that many hits in a three year span.

It was time for Brady and LSU to part ways if for no other reason than for fans to get a new perspective on college basketball and either see tht Brady had achieved a lot or to justify the change. Brady was burned out after a decade of working to restore teh program to national prominence and his frustration was clearly mounting. Let's thank him for what he accomplished and support Johnson in reaching greater heights.

Burned out? Explain. I think the only thing that burned him out was dealing with NEGATIGERS . He had to plead with the "fans" to come to games even when we were winning. Then, as soon as we lost players to the NBA or injuries, the back stabbing turncoats went wild. His press conference certainly didn't appear to be a guy who was relieved to be gone. He had also already assembled the next SEC Champs. I also remember Butch saying that we were on the way to competing for the National Title. Based on last year, he obviously knew more than the NEGATIGERS . Burned out, uh uh. NEGATIGERS whacked out, UH HUH!
