Watching the LMU - LSU game I noticed how clean-cut all the LSU players were and how they looked like basketball was the most important thing in their world..and they played like it as well.
Now..and I'm not just ragging on LSU..its tattoos gone wild..and not subtle ones either but nasty-arse tattoos crawling up and down the arms, on the back, etc. It just looks trashy IMO.
I wish this whole tattoo fad would pass. Alot of these kids will be regretting it one day.

You're just old, but I agree. At 36 I feel like an old fart when it comes to the fads these days. Kids these days!
(my grandpa would be proud of me saying that.)

On the other hand, it'll be good for a laugh when today's kids, especially the girls, walk around as 70-year-olds with tatts on their asses. 'Course, I don't know that I'd WANT to check out some 70-year-old woman's arse to scope her tatts. Besides, I'll be dead by then anyway.

you sure you weren't looking at the tennessee players? bo has those gay star tats, dotson has some on his arms, harris has a few. this is actually one of the least tattooed basketball teams we've had in a while.

Fortunately, I think it is starting to do so. I've seen more "tatoo removal" ads appearing in the papers here.

PMAC looks childish on TV. No fun-factor or intimidation factor. the purple and gold as always looks blue and yellow and the geaux font is everywhere... I'm sick of it. blah

It is not just basketball, it was the way we were raised then.

Back then the only time you saw tatoos was on sailors or REAL bikers!

they need to compact the giant LSU logo at mid court, get rid of the damn COX logos
and put the deaf dome sign back up next season once we improve and the fans start coming back. other than that i like the gold key and bare lanes. looks nice. seems like we change the whole entire color scheme of the floor every couple of years though.

quote:Good point that can be explained by the wave of early defection to the NBA. Any player who has extraordinary talent is in the NBA by the time he's 20, so he often lacks discipline and a significant dose of fundamental knowledge of the game.

Generations change; when I was in high school, my black teammates were starting to wear corn rows. While I thought nothing of it, many parents thought it made them look like they were in gangs. In fact, none of them were ever in gangs, and very few of them ever got into legal trouble. It was just a hairstyle, and nowadays when you see a black guy with corn rows, you probably don't think much of it.
Regarding tattoos, my grandfather had a nekkid lady tattooed on his arm, so they never really bothered me, though I myself never got any tattoos.

Your right, tattoos weren't invented hundreds of years ago or anything

Those tattoos were normally related to their military service, or tattoos that had gotten when in the service. The tattoo fad faded until picked up by the Bikers.
I wish I had photographed a 30+/- year old guy at the Box a few years ago when the “barbed wire” tattoos were popular. He was seated at a table in a tank top, showing his wire tattoo around his right biceps.
At least I think it was his biceps, his arms were about 24 inches of pure flab which matched his perfect 70+ waist – all of this on about his 5’-6” frame. Got to think that tattoo will be impressive in about 40 years!

People have been saying that for 50 years. Think it's here to stay.

You have serious anger issues. You should consult a physician.
Tattoos are more popular now, granted. But tattoos have been around a long time which of course was my point that you understood yet still decide to pick a fight.
Get a life.
