There are two schools of thought.
1. Kids come to a program because they like the school/coaches regardless of records.
2. Kids want to go where they can win championships, get national recognition on TV and having stellar records gives them that.

Do you think we're going to lose any top recruits due to our poor performance, poor playcalling, poor ability to get the proper talent on the field (Ie #1 dual threat quarterback in the nation to throw at least one pass all year, or #1 reciever in the nation to get more involved in the game?)

There should be requirements to be able to talk about recruiting on here.

Awe did someone get his little feelings hurt? Do we need to call a Wambulance for him?
Well take a look at this young man, and if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all.

Big reason why kids want to come to LSU is a passionate fanbase incredible facilities and a better chance at getting drafted in the NFL draft.

The "number one reciever" caught a few passes...needs experience, strength and size.

And the "dual threat QB" I assume you are referring to shep...WILL NEVER BE A STARTING QB AT LSU. He might come in for the wildcat. thats it. He might throw a pass...one day...maybe

Talking shite about the doom and gloom of recruiting when we're going to finish in the top 10 is the very definition of a whiny bitch. I'm pretty sure it's verbatim in uncle Merriam's dictionary.

And this is something that has never happened before this year? Come on 6th ranked class on top of last years class and possibly a top 2 class next year. I don't get all this bitching!!!

Top 10 even after a "suckie" year. Not bad.
What's frustrating is losing kids to AUBURN!
No idea why they would go there. Not going to win a championship anytime soon. No QB. And, who'd actually WANT to be in Auburn, AL for 4 years?
That one I don't get. Gotta be getting some extra perks from someone.

I love how this dumbass cites the Reveille for his recruiting info.

prospect of immediate play time. He left that out in his "schools of thought" speech

Is it only on an LSU forum that a 3rd place finish in the SEC, a New Year Day bowl, and a national ranking is labeled a "poor season"???

no. 4 or 5 in the SEC and missed on a ton of the top targets at need positions. It's an ok class by LSU standards

yeah, no

LSU was outrecruited plain and simple for TR. When he's convinced that AU can use him better bc LSU only uses taller WRs, that's all on the staff.

Okay, back to Auburn. Take Reed, for instance. Sure he may play first year, but who's going to throw him the ball? They also have one of the top RB's coming in. They're going to run the rock. LSU had more passing attempts than most SEC teams. If you're a WR, and wanted to show your talents, LSU was/is the better choice. We have a good class, but Reed would have been a cherry pick-up.

They are 17 year-olds. Who knows what they think?
