is he the most likely candidate to take over Harry Coleman's role from last year? i think he has all the tools to be better than "the hitman"

might as well move Hatcher there too, he'll never be able to cover anyone in the SEC

If it is "his turn", he may get a shot.

I remember thinking Tepper was a genius when he moved Hookfin to drop linebacker. Chavis has obviously read Complete Linebacking.

Haven't seen enough of Francois to know. He did look great in a high school AA game.

Don't know if Hatcher is big enough to play that close to the line of scrimmage. He has struggled in pass protection while looking good against the run.

Corners will be fine and most assume Loston comes in at FS. Taylor needs to improve his tackling at SS.

Coleman was like 205 tops. Hatcher should be plenty big enough.

You mean coverage.

just look at how many "stars" he had coming out of hs

like everyone thinks of loston, i think if francois keeps his head straight, he can become GREAT before his time ends here at LSU.

If his tools were better than the hitman, I would think he would have seen more of the field.

He never made the rotation in the secondary, and that's probably the only place we saw significant substitution all season long.

If yall remember he was always one of the first guys down the field on kickoff during the 2008 season..He was the one throwing his body around in the G-Tech game and tore his ACL...this is why he wasnt in the rotation this year bc he wasnt all 100%..hes pretty big for a safety and can light you up..he will secure the Harry spot or one of the LB spots..he will be on the field..

IMO, if Ron Brooks put on like 25 pounds, he would be the best "hybrid" LB in history...but thats 25 pounds

i heard loston in the talks before c jones departure.

francois will be a nasty lb. he pretty much played an lb in the 4-3 over formation in high school. just blitzed off the edge almost every other play.

Loston stated he would transfer if he couldnt play safety..CJ left and that pretty much locked him down for FS

I hope he fills that spot and fills it well, but if we didn't see him in the defensive secondary because he wasn't 100%, I think it's likely we wouldn't have seen him on all special teams, either.

I think he can take over Coleman's spot, but I'm not ready to call it an upgrade, yet.

As a matter of fact, I'm not certain there is a position on the field outside of RG and RDE that will see an upgrade next season.

Or he'd be the next Eric Berry.
