Good show, but I have to think that LA people don't like it.

I love it. I don't give a flying frick how bad the accents are, etc. Great show. Nice titties all over the place.

I laughed with the first couple of episodes where the dude's cajun accent was so thick and hard even my family (who is from WAYYY down south there half of my parent's generation at least is still fluent in cajun french), can't work it out.

If you were to watch the entire season, then you would know that there was a good reason for his bad cajun accent.

like LA (not La) people liked Saved by the Bell with Valley Girl accents and a high school that went surfing all the time? Stereotypes are what make a show interesting.

If you wouldn't want to be stereotyped as Zach Morris then you're a liar.

As I've said before, it's North LA, I don't care if they make them look bad.

I did, and I know it, but I didn't want to throw in a hinting spoiler like that

bullshite. the show is set primarily in the fictional town of Bon Temps, which, as said on the show, is a 5 hour drive from Shreveport/North LA. plus the accents and natural surroundings are more indicative of south LA as well as the fact that the show is filmed around Baton Rouge.

now STFU with your North La. hate.

Huh. I've never heard them say this. Not saying you are wrong, I just don't remember that.

I have heard them talk about a quick drive to Monroe and Shreveport though.

actually it was filmed in the Mansfield/shreveport area and it is set towards more North LA because as the previous poster said, they always talk about going to shreveport

Not all of the accents are bad, but what is that chick Tara thinking? I've never heard anyone talk like that, whether it be in Louisiana or anywhere else.
