i like downey jr dont get me wrong but this just didnt do it for me. everybody acts like this was the funniest crap ever.

I disagree with your choice. He was the best part of the movie.
For me, I'd have to say just about any character Clint Eastwood has played since Unforgiven, and he even won an Academy Award for Million Dollar Baby.

on that note....
i was looking at the imdb top250 the other day and Gran Torino is on there. wtf. i like eastwood. and that movie is good. but it aint one of the best 250 movies ever made i know that.

It was a dull movie that beat you over the head with "look how dorky our character is". Like they're trying to be funny by not being funny or something.
The only way I can see anyone laughing at the movie is the way people laugh at the poor retarded kid at lunch in middle school.

I would take the cinematographer and put him in a safe house, then do an Old Yeller job on everyone else remotely associated with this movie.
