The problems are obvious, but their will be growing pains in the rebuilding of any program.
I like the fact that this team never quits is smartly coached and it plays smart. Brighter days are much closer than they appear right now.

I've been critical of Trent but I was impressed with the ball movement today. A lot of back door cuts well implemented. Just couldn't knock some of them down when it counted.

Not sure about Spencer playing smart though. He is kind of frustrating to watch. Seems to play very out of control to me.

I don't know about playing smart... A lot of double teaming in this game, That right there tells me someone is open for a shot. "Quickly finding that person thoughts" are running through my mind.

I can see the improvements in this team in every game but there is always something else, if they can put it all together, they will be a team with many wins to come. They need to learn how to protect the inside paint a little bit better though.

I do when compared to Brady teams.

+1

When Trent gets some players his teams will be dangerous. I think we may be able to sneak into the dance next year, and perhaps make a sweet sixteen run the following year if we can keep things on track. The most important thing is that we need to continue to be on the upswing when the fab five in NO makes their decisions.

Let me first say I see a good future ahead and I really like Trent, but geez I am going to have to call you on that one Poncy.

This team quit against Xavier and at home vs. Bama.

And I don't give points for effort. For me when you are given the privalege of playing for LSU quitting is not an option.

Good game for us for the most points all things considered, but losses of poise right before half and the last five minutes of this game are microcosms of the year and while talent has alot to do with that, it isn't the only reason.

Ludwig & Beattie need to be on the court more often. When they were in there was probably the best basketball we've played all year. Great ball movement, they were under control and hustled.

The same standard was applied durring Dinardo's first coulple years, as well as saban's 1st couple years.

Beattie certainly made a case for the walk-on minutes over Kinsley. Of course he needs to show he can do it consistently as Kinsley had a couple of good games early this year only to have fallen off greatly since.

I have issues with Kinsley being in the game late the last two games.

I enjoy the team's hustle and grit, it just doesn't seem like the talent is there.

Green doesn't need to be on a basketball court at all, and Ludwig, Kinsley, Harris and Bass (and Beattie) don't need to be on a court RIGHT NOW.

Oh, well. In time I suppose.

On the other hand, it was great to see Tim Donaghy's dad reffing out there. That old man missed a good game.
