I'm going to guess that if our offense ranked 12 instead of 112th the former coach at LA freaking TECH wouldn't have been able to sway him

What a fricking joke.

Im sure he doesn't need a message board to count to 112.

If Miles and Crowton had a clue, they could shut up the anti Miles and Crowton croud. Its simple. Produce on the field. Win games. Score points. Look like you have a fricking clue.

yes, the idiots that constantly bash our program on here and say all this gloom and doom definately plays a factor. While the recruit himself may not know about these websites I can assure you that friends or family of the recruits do and they tell the recruit about the crap on here. I know this b/c when I was in high school, we a big time profile player that LSU was recruiting at my school. There was another friend of mine at a rival school that also played at LSU. They would talk about all these websites and is actually how I came across some of these. Yall are fools if yall don't think this doesn't play into recruits thought process

Zero.

The blame lies with a stupid head coach who didn't fire an incompetent OC.

Hunter won't be the last loss due to the confederacy of retards that populate the LSU coaching staff.

let's put it this way, the garbage on our message boards didn't help.

It may not be the reason he left, however, all the ranter's spewing their self fulfilled prophesy to see crowton, miles, and lsu fail are certainly contributing to their wish.

I don't expect them to understand, they are just to ignorant to know any better.

I think Les Miles is a dead man walking as far as his remaining days in Tigertown.

IF you think kids base where they want to spend the next 4-5 years of thier life at, by a website with a bunch of anonymous posters, your a fool.

Kids read these sites, but it accounts for about %1 of thier decision on where to attend college.

Negative posts on the rant are definitely not the reason for Hunter's de-commitment. But, I think that recruits do read these boards and all the negative threats do not help.

Should Gary Crowton still be here? No.

Do we need to start 10,000 different threads about how Miles and Crowton need to be fired? No.

Can you blame an 17 year old kid for getting shaky about moving so far away from home for college? No.

+10000000

Yes it does! Maybe not with hunter but people keep bashing all the in state recruits as well as coaches and it make a differece. You people think Reed, Fobbs, Wright, etc dont know about tigerdroppings? They are kids that have thousands of people talking about them daily and you think they are not looking on here? your stupid then

I agree with dos crystal, but also what alot of LSU fans are not realizing, is that, why would a high recruit WR want to attend LSU when the OC under utilize the #1 dual-threat(Shepard) & #1 WR(Randall) from last year? That's a turn off when you have that type of talent and don't use it in the game and a ranking of 112 doesn't help either.

Blame Miles and Crowton for promising every week to use Holiday and Shepard each week and never do.

there is not a message board around that doesnt post negative comments when things dont go right or they lose a game or lose a recruit so thats not the reason. Its better to have a balanced boards than to have a board that is sugar coated like DD's is.(for the record i do like DD site for info)

If Hunter goes to Tennessee, it is because he wants to go there, not because of a message board. Tennessee has had all kinds of bad publicity, and their first two choices for head coach turned the job down. Nuff said.

Maybe Hunter knew he could not possibly live up to the extremely HIGH expectations many on here had placed on the kid.

A list of influencers for a kid deciding on a college/program:
• Parents and family
• HS coaches
• Recruiting coaches from colleges
• Outside influencers (friends, teachers, counselors, ministers, etc., etc.)
• Fans from individual schools, esp. fans on message boards

Okay, looking at this list, where would you put fans? Would they be at the top of your list? Compared to the other influencers, would fans have much if any influence on your decision?

My point is, I'd suspect fans from individual schools have very little if any influence on a kid's decision, especially compared to the other people involved.
