Can Crowton and Miles ever right the ship with the fan base? If they have a 13-1 or 14-0 could it be possible?

If Russell Shepard turns out to be the next Flynn in 2010, then Crowton will be redeemed in my book.

I thought this was another "Fire Crowton" thread.
Oh, and winning will make people forgive and forget.

Yes - even if we went 10-3 and looked prepared to play and used out talent.

They would have to win in a big way. I really dont even think an SEC championship would do it.
I think the perception of CLM has been damaged that badly.

I don't think you can ever please everybody (just one of those things in life), but I'm sure most will be satisfied with him if LSU becomes one of the top... let's say 3 or 4 offenses in the SEC. That is, of course, as long as the defense is also very successful-- and LSU wins the west and SEC at least every couple years or so.
Crowton's rep has been hurt with declining success of the offense, and that ties in to the decline in the team's overall success. LSU doesn't have to be the top offense in the country for him to regain the esteem he's lost, but he has to field a good offense for a successful overall team, or he will continue to be linked to LSU's decline.

You think?
Don't look now, but Miles has the best 5 yr winning percentage in LSU history, he is 1st LSU coach in history to average 10 wins a season in his 1st 5 yrs, in 5 yrs he has become the 3rd winning coach in LSU history, and he is the 1st coach since Mac to remain at LSU past the 5 yr mark.
And here we are talking bout he needs to do to get the fans back.
Maybe he should leave and we can find a jerk (USC) or a 5th place finisher (Vols) in the WAC to take his place.

No, and no coach ever will. At least not here.

Shooting a little low in regard to Shep. I would rather have the next Percy Harvin personally.

Yes, but this season wasn't a problem in terms on W-L as it was the body of work. If, at the beginning of the season, you would have told me 9-4 with losses to UF, Bama, Ole Miss, and Cap One to Penn State, that would've sounded ok.
Finishing ranked 112th (or whatever it ended up being) in total offense and the general was we won/lost paints the 9-4 picture a little differently.

Um, if we went 14-0, there wouldn't be too many problems

I'd rather have somebody lead LSU to a minimum of 28 points every single game.

How good do you think Jefferson can end up being?
Posted on 1/16/10 at 1:42 am to Rocket
I don't know. I'm not terribly confident that he will ever lead a high-scoring offense, but then again, I'm not going to say it won't happen either. It's pretty hard to judge any offensive player by what happened last season, imo.

dude...really?
that is not going to happen.

I'm not too terribly confident we're going to have a good season in 2010.

I'm putting all my Tiger football hopes on Gonzales's shoulders. Dude better not let me down ... or I'll egg his house or something.

I'll settle for a Herb Tyler. How about that?
