What are some movies that you like but you hear or read lots of other people saying they do not.

The first one that comes to mind for me is Signs.

I really liked this movie, even more than the Sixth Sense. The whole Man of God losing his faith and then finding it again was very well done. The twist at the end with Gibson realizing what his wife meant that night long before really got to me.

I've read a lot of other posters ragging on it, but Signs is a good movie in my opinion.

Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

I think there are a few of us who like it on here, but not many.

Yeah I liked Signs as well. I thought the Village was bearable too.

Swordfish didn't aim to be some classic, just a visually impressive and entertaining flick. I think it succeeded.

I thought Charlie Wilsons War was an incredible movie. I don't know if many people have said anything bad about it or not but I have not heard anyone talk about it.

Uwe Boll films. The guy is an Ed Wood reincarnate. The fact that he truly believes his movies are masterpieces makes them better. And he is supposedly releasing two arthouse movies. It's going to be epic.

I'm a pretty big fan of this movie though it has been a long time since I've watched it.

good call completely agree

others:

Derailed - starring Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen. Currently has a 19% rating on RottenTomatoes. While it isn't a great film, its a decent, enjoyable thriller. Clive might be my favorite actor right now.

Superman Returns - Got lambasted on this board. Take out the "Superman has a kid" angle, and add slight bit more action, and it would've been a slam dunk. Overall a decent superhero flick though.

Caught this movie on t.v. the other night right as the heavy duty training and musical montage began. We decided to watch the whole fight. I hadn't seen it in a while. I was really disappointed in how fake it was. It was ridiculous. Still a great movie nonetheless.
