(CAP ONE)POOR FIELD CONDITIONS? I wouldn't have played him either. The game meant nothing.

I actually agree with this especially after the injury that happened in the game earlier in the week. Why risk an injury with this player especially since he played as a true freshman (albeit sparingly)...In addition, you can't take advantage of his skill sets on that surface.

I still don't excuse not playing him more in the regular season however.

You killin' me Alley Cat. Did you say this or someone else? How about a link? The game has a bearing on where we will be ranked next year, they could have won 100 games in the decade, Miles bowl win streak could've been extended and he could've also beaten another coach who has won a national championship. Yeah, you're right. It meant nothing.

Since when do you not play someone b/c the field is muddy.

That is the most pussified crap excuse I've heard in my life.

Then why give Holliday 10 carries?

FIELD CONDITIONS

I respectfully disagree that was the reason.

The field was more than muddy, the field was unstable. The sod squares had not rooted into the ground underneath nor the sod squares on each side.

It would be like running on a bunch of rugs laid out on a hardwood surface.

Footing was unstable.

When he's a freshman and you think about his future. If he would have blown his knee out people would have bitched then for him being on the field.

My comment is based on him being at LSU 3 more years. Why risk it? Especially with your comment on Holliday. If he's not getting it done in that cattle pasture, what makes you think Sheppard would? LSU needed Charles Scott desparately in that game. He would have made the biggest difference IMO.

The reason RS didn't play hardly at all this season, was because it was Trindon's turn to play. You can't have 2 Trindon's.

If the original Trindon doesn't see the field that much during his career, how the hell do you expect the the other Trindon to get any real playing time?
