So? The Raiders offense was at its best when Callahan was the OC and HC. And Gruden didn't have a lot of offensive success in Tampa.

USC and Auburn are two examples of college teams that used the WCO in the last few years and were very successful.
There have been a few coaches who were good enough to be NFL Position coaches/OCs/HCs but couldn't cut it on the college level. Sherman and Gailey are two more examples. Gailey was an average college HC and Sherman seems to be the same.
