Coaches like Pete Carroll and Calipari should not be allowed to run away and leave a university on probation.
USC will take a hit for all of the shite that has happened with Reggie, and McNight. The basketball team fell first and trust me- the football program is next. Pete knows it's coming and he ran like a scared little child.
I'm sure a lot of coaches cheat to win, but it's sickening when you have a blatant disregard for the rules and an arrogance about you that you think you can stand above.

Anyone even consider that he might just want the payday or the challenge?

He had his chances every year for the pay day but I guess what? waited for the awesome opportunity to coach "Seattle". Whatever, the guy is a punk.

When knight falls, Carroll will nife usc in the back and leave the program in the middle of knowhere

Why is Carroll sticking it to USC? He can't be with the players all the time. The players know the rules. Why should he suffer over something he has no control over? If you were a top 10 coach, you'd do the exact same thing if given the opportunity to make more $$$ and also be in charge of player personnel.

I was a top 10 coach and quite honestly, it's Pete Carroll's job to know everything about his athletes and how it will directly affect his program. He cheated, and running away before he gets caught.

let's wait until they actually get probation. While i wholeheartedly think the deserve it for the Bush fiasco, i'll believe the NCAA hammers then when i see it.

If he's offered the payday and the personal is his to change I say go for it. He deserves another shot at the NFL.

Marshall Faulk must be reading the tigerdroppings. He just said the same thing on NFL Gameday Morning.

They haven't broken any laws and this is still a free country (for the time being anyway) so how exactly do you propose to not allow them to leave?
