I understand most people hating Saban for leaving LSU, but it's not like the guy went to the Dolphins and waited for the Alabama job to open up. If anything, I thank Nick Saban for putting LSU in the situation we have been for the past couple of years. He turned our football program into a massive powerhouse and we now have 2 National Championships in this decade. Les Miles inherited a goldmine of talent when he came to this team due to Saban's recruitment and coaching. Saban coached players to be leaders whethere these guys were true freshmen or 5th year seniors! He's doing the same at Alabama now. And yes, it pisses me off to see this guy at a rival school, but the guy obviously knows what he is doing. I for one, am ready for LSU to hire a competent coach that can compete with the powerhouses in the SEC!

The way Saban left LSU was shitty. Other than that, whatever negative feelings I have are just rivalry.

There are a bunch of reasons to hate Satan and none of them have anything to do with him leaving us. If Les Miles had taken the job in Michigan I would be pulling for him.

It isn't that he left it is how he left. The man has a personality defect. Sorry but it is true.

JUST ONE of the numerous example of why you should hate Saban. He announce on Christmas Day that he was leaving LSU. It couldn't wait one freaking day could it. Merry Christmas to all his loyal fans. HoHoHo, Merry Christmas!

Exactly. And one week before the bowl game.

What Saban did here was AWESOME. Not just his W-L record but others things that MILES would NOT have been smart enough to come up with. I don't care what ANYONE says. Saban left the cupboard FULL and Miles has not added to it. So don't HATE NICK, Hate the guy who is letting this program drop down.

If we didn't hate Coach Saban, then that's an indicator he's not doing his current job. He's the coach of one of, if not our most, bitter rivals. However, he has been handling his business lately so our hatred is forthcoming.

So, to answer your question, yes the hate is fair. But, I doubt he's losing any sleep over it. To turn the question around: if you were a head coach, would you rather your rival's fanbase hate you or love you?

If it wasn't for Saban we would still be groping for our second national title...he put us in the national lime light and when he left he left enough talent and leadership to be successfull for a long time. I will always appreciate what he did for LSU.

Give him his due as the best college coach in America and at LSU in some time. Now let's go knock him off his pedestal next season, if we can.

I really wouldn't care what my rival's fanbase thought of me. As long as I was getting my job done, other teams woulnd't matter.

I would have taken the money too.

I hate bama for paying a guy that kind of money before he produced (the fact that it worked for a bunch of habitual cheaters is just disgusting BUT Irrelevant).

His hire at bama has had a negative affects on college FB IMO. New position created just to be able to go pay more "Head Corch in waiting" "Passing game co.". It artificially inflated the market for coaching salaries. Theres more but I wont bother.

Dont blame the liar for taking the money blame that sad excuse of University for buying there way out of hell. Ironic that buying players gottem in trouble and buying a coach gottem out of it.
Either way they bought it.

Cant go back now its Keep up with the money or get left behind. This is not amateur sport anymore.....just farm teams for the NFL
