New Religion (WorldViews) Board Needed

If the poliboard wants to restrict purely religious threads because there is an over abundance of them, then that might be a sign that a Beliefs, Religion, or Worldviews board is needed.
How about calling it a "Worldviews" or a "Spiritual Beliefs" Board.

Now that is rediculous and I half expected it when I first saw the sticky...
Despite of the fun I have with the "LOOK AT THIS MIRACLE" threads, I can understand the lock down on them.
But why the smack down on most of the remotely religious threads? What was wrong with the regional politics/religion intereffects thread? Took off a spot of anti-Obama/pro-Obama cross sniping from the front page? Because that is essentially all what the poli board will become...it isn't like it is a forum for higher political thought, mostly cut and pastes from outside bias sources.
Place should be more proberly renamed "Debate Forum" than "Political"

Politics and religion go together. Religion and society are connected. Threads that touch on religion and have a political or social angle are welcomed on the Political board.
However, threads that are little more than "look how great my religion is," or "look how bad your religion is" belong on the O-T.
No one is saying those threads can't be posted.
They just don't belong on the Political Board.

What prompted my reply was a thread inviting thoughts about the effects religion has on politics. It was whacked from the first post.
I understand the mytigger posts that try to invent miracles...but what is wrong with that one?

He used the new thread you mentioned to try to circumvent the rules and gain support for his cause. This is not a democracy and we don't need the bandwidth being clogged up by people who can't follow the rules.

If you cannot freely express your views in a open debate, then none of the boards on tigerdroppings are really worth it. From what I have read on here over the last few months it seems that if you disagree with the administrators points of view you are simply banned. A lot of posters on these boards like to use the term "Germans". Well it seems the powers that be on tigerdroppings whack free speech just like the best represive regimes.
