Songy show regarding Alleva, Jindal and the $$ men

I can't belive this didn't make the board yet (or my searching skills suck) (or might be too hot for the board?) I dunno.
Anyway, on the Songy show today a caller asked about a rumor that he had heard that Alleva was ready to fire Miles after the Ole Miss Game.
Songy didn't really answer that directly but said that several big money men in TAF were able to put together $13 million towards a buyout after that game (at lest verbally). Said most of these guys were from North La - Monroe, Shreveport, etc. But said that Jindal stepped in and said it wouldn't be good for the school/state (I can't remember which) to get rid of Miles at this time given his record.
That came waaaay out of left field to me. I hadn't heard anything like that on this board or anywheres else. Left me going:
Anybody hear anything about all of this?

If that's the case, and there's really no telling, just further strengthens the theory that he as one more year left.
Looks like Miles' job is in Jordan Jefferson's hands. Perriloux built the coffin. Let's see if Jefferson nails it shut.

At least this proves Alleva isn't a pussy. I think Jindal was right, though. It would have sent a message to potential coaches that they have no margin for error. That would have been too soon to fire him.

Why the hell would Jindal care? That rumor is stupid.

Actually it would be good for the school and state to get rid of him because he is the LAUGHING STOCK of college football and he is not doing the school or the state any favors anymore.

Haven't heard that at all. It would appear bad to fire him due to his winning percentage

BR radio callers are some of the most informed and intelligent people out there and almost always have good info.

I think he did himself in. Any competent coach would have righted the ship to save his hide. The muck we're in right now proves not that Miles doesn't want to fix it, that he can't

To me it's a toss up. Which is dumber? The rumor or the morons that believe it could be true.

I knew there was a reason i liked Jindal.

Jindal has ZERO say in anything that involve LSU athletics. Sounds like fat arse was stirring up callers again.

Yeah, I don't see how Jindal has a dog in that race, outside of being just a fan.

I don't disagree. But it was Songy himself who was saying the stuff about the $13 million and the Jindal stuff. I was almost afraid to post it. But it was on the public airwaves so I guess it can't be too secret (true or not).

Are you implying that Songy is someone in the know? Or that his piece of shite show (advertisement block) has some thread of legitimacy?

Songy Show
If left field is his arse. He also said "Dominique Allen was going to get some serious touches in the bowl game" and "LSU's offensive problems remind him of a pizza, it's a combination of things"....
That is some in-depth sports talk. I'm just saying take everything he says with a grain of salt and flush it down the toilet, because it's nonsense.

A rumor from a radio show doesn't prove anything.
I doubt anything of the sort took place.
