how long will it take the next coach to rebuild what one sees on the field being totally dismantled?
The overreaction by some of you guys is priceless.

After he totally collapses and has 2 or 3 six loss seasons or worse. There is nothing special about being able to discern the obvious AND it doesn't take an ounce of balls to make that call.
The real trick is spotting the obvious BEFORE the collapse and having the balls to make the decision. As the UF boss said; if you know you're going to have to do something tomorrow, you might as well do it today.

Wow. The stupidity on this board continues.

We had four losses this year. 4. Miss State almost beat us. Georgia almost beat us. Hell, even Tech almost beat us! This was very close to a 7-loss season!
Last year we went 8-5. Troy almost beat us which would have made it a 6-loss year.
Yes, we are at the point to where we have 5 or six losses easily each year.

That's the new mantra?
Because we almost beat Bama and we almost beat Ole Miss and we almost beat Penn State.

please just GTFO now. I stopped reading your shite after the "two years removed from a NC" attempt at defending Elmer goodamn Fudd-Miles.

neither defending nor slamming Miles. Just pointing out reality. Can't help it if you're too stupid to understand that. Even though Miles is trending down the past 2 years compared with his first 3, he's not getting fired this year no matter how much you drama queens cry.

It didn't take long. Just a few days removed from another COACH FAIL and the apologists are back out in full force. Don't worry guys. There is no doubt that Miles will be here next year. So, you can breathe easy.
The real question is how much longer does he have. The OP makes an excellent point. That which will have to be done eventually, should be done today. I firmly believe Les Miles will be fired within the next two years. I am convinced of it. I would prefer it happen sooner rather than later, and before more damage is done.

Well no fricking shite? Really? Damn, cause I was under the impression that we rolling in the fricking dough here in LOUISIANA and could just buy this clown out with a flick of our wrists?
People like you who have no realistic evidence for bashing realistic people are the ones that should be dubbed "rantard". And when I use the term "realistic" as it describes posters on this board I am talking about the ones who don't have a hemorrhage of the brain and can see we are slipping into inevitable mediocrity.
Had this same scenario been applied to a coach with a proven track record who we all didn't suspect was on the cast of madtv, I'm sure there wouldn't be as much bitching.
It doesn't make you any cooler to bash upset fans because you can use the word "rantard" to make yourself feel some off the wall feeling of message board seniority/superiority...
Just sayin...

If you really believe that LSU should fire Miles right now, you are a certified Rantard and really don't understand how D1 athletics work.

Can you f'n read SteveO? I said he will be fired within the next two years. It's like one sentence removed from the quote you pulled from my post!
The quote is a proverb that I think could be applied to our dilemma. Speaking of rantards, you still think this fool will turn it around? What can you specifically point to that says he will? Other than blind homerism, of course.

A lot of Les Kool-Aid drinkers here. The bottom line is simple. Recruiting is here and now. If you had four or five star talent, would you want to come to LSU given what Les has done since he's been here?
The future is dark as long as Les is at the helm, sorry if that offends.

right, and the proverb you quoted means that you believe he should be fired now. How else can this be read? IF you think that he should be fired now, then you're a rantard.

I guess that excludes you, since you aren't just any idiot, no, you are the village idiot!
Les is going to be the coach, he has won 51 games in 5 seasons as the head coach. There is no reason that Les deserves to be fired! So either cheer for the Tigers and the coach, or become a Bama fan! LSU does not need negaTigers or rantards.
