Is this a fair comparison? Both great physical tools but never really grasp the position. I hope not but the signs are there.

what signs? JJ laughing it up on the sideline? Not showing any improvement or desire to improve?

Same long windup, lack of pocket presence and inability to read a defense. Main difference is JJ pouts when he turns it over, that fricker Brooks used to smile and laugh. I swear, I could have shot that dude a few times.

no its not a fair comparison. Jefferson hasnt even started to reach his full potential. if i was gonna compare him to someone it would be jason cambell when he was at auburn.

I don't see it at all.

The Saints never became a great team with Brooks, will we with Jefferson?

One was a sucessful starter in the NFL.
If ONLY he had had you to coach him up.
Now go back to comparing a SOPH in college to an NFL starting QB.

JJ is more Marcus Randall than Brooks.

The only similarity between Aaron Brooks and Jordan Jefferson is skin tone and position.

No. Not an accurate comparison.
Jefferson protects the ball to a fault.

Tough to judge a QB with a crappy O-Line and zero running game. Problem is I see no way that will change next year. Say what you want about our RBs, they are poor. Checkout the Draft projections. Scott is a good guy but as RB leaves much to be desired.

Brooks is the 2nd best QB in franchise history fwiw.

He was just smiling and laughing about how stupid they were to pay him 17 million.

Bad comparison. Only area where they are similar is that they had good physical tools
JJ's is scared to make a mistake which causes him to hold onto the ball (AB never had that problem and he was a TO machine). JJ rarely turns the ball over.
JJ is not a very good runner where AB was
Biggest difference is that at least JJ tries and gives a shite out there (AB could care less).

AB had a freaking rocket for an arm (JJ does not) and was a very productive college player. He also had a decent run in the pros. JJ would be lucky to have a career like him.
they aren't similar qbs though

in Brooks defense, i think that was a nervous condition. i know 1 person and have heard of several others that do this in tense situations. they can't stop themselves from doing it.
