Mike Leach & Bill Clinton... oh, the similarities.

Leach needs professional psychiatric help, not a college football contract.

It would go down as the greatest moment in TV history...would probably win whatever program it was on an Emmy. Get Fox on the phone, I think you are on to something.

Just out of curiosity, why is Leach such a hero to TD?

He's an arrogant arse and nothing that's transpired in the last week is really surprising. His marriage with Tech admin was effectively over; I don't see why everyone is blaming James or ESPN for this.

not being politically correct =/= arrogant arse

He's eccentric and out of the box. I think the view of him being arrogant is a misinterpretation (granted, an easy one to make) of his behavior.

He isn't a hero. It is just ridiculous how ESPN and TTU acted. I feel bad for Leach because he is being fricked over.

Really? .... Really? Entitled jack-arse kid, helicopter parent who is trying to use his own success and status in the media to force other players to sit so his under-talented kid can play, and a network that is trying to crucify Leach and smear his name, when the facts don't support the way they have been presenting the story? They cover none of the Leach support, and in the game when it is unavoidable that Adam James is hated, they talk about his courage and how he needs protection from the fans. Even in Leach's interview, they tried to call him out and got their asses handed to them.

So no, Leach isn't my hero. ESPN has just been despicable in their coverage of this.

I have a good friend who is a TT alumus and die hard fan. When watching the cotton bowl today and when Snead took that big hit.. he sent me the following text:

Wow Snead just got his world rocked.. no one is checking him for a concussion and telling him he needs to stay in a dark room. Snead must be a MAN.. I just

Bob Davie said it. I couldn't believe it. I wonder what all these people who hate on Leach have to say about Bear Bryant taking those poor young boys to Junction back in the day.

I live in a media market where I get to see Mike Leach interviewed a couple times a week during football season and almost as much during recruiting and spring practices.

"Arrogant arse" is my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

He is completely unnacountable. He blames his players (and their fat little girlfriends) for losses. He's never called a bad game in his life.

He honestly believed he deserved a pre-emptive contract extension to put him in the top ten highest paid coaches after his best season ever resulted in failure to win even a share of the conference title and bowl loss.

He flat-out lied to his boss about interviewing for other jobs.

When reporters asked him why Graham Harrel (sp?) went undrafted, he answered with a rambling, barely coherent sarcastic riff about A&M's coaching staff.

Dude is entertaining, but it wasn't hard to see that whenever his run at Tech ended, it was going to end ugly. And at the end of the day, he has as many titles as Spike Dykes.
