Stoops has to be getting tired of Oklahoma, especially after this season. He would probably love to take over a powerful program, especially one like Florida where he was for a few seasons.

Look for Mullen, Muschamp, and Gruden to be in the mix.

I've got a feeling that this is gonna be a job Tubbs puts his name out for. A lot.

Charlie Weis! but seriously. I'd guess Butch Davis, Mullen or Shanahan. Surprised no ones threw Tony Dungy's name out there yet.

Now that we know Meyer will hang around the program, does anyone think this may be a Coach K type situation where Meyer steps aside for 1 to 2 years, and then takes over as HC again once (or if) his health issues are resolved?
I'm thinking one of his guys will be tabbed as HC until he is ready to rejoin the fray.

Butch Davis is a has-been. Florida will go for mullen, muschamp, golden, or haugbaugh.

Does that make Lane Kiffin the undisputed AH coach in the SEC?

what if Mullen gets it and wants to call plays. and then Addazio doesn't want to take the semi-demotion so he leaves. And boom they hire Meyer coaching tree o-line genius Coach Stud!

I doubt Fla goes with Patterson, though he should make the top ten candidate list.
I just can't see Foley and Fla's bigwigs going defensive(Charley Pell, Ron Zook) , when all their greatness has come via offensive minds(Hall, Spurrier, Meyer)..
Petersen, Mullen, Harbaugh, etc..are chalk over Patterson.
Patterson and Stoops are probably darkhorses.

Tebow would be my choice.

DanMullenIsOurMan should probably go ahead and request a name change IMO

Pat Dooley from the Gainsville Sun just said live that had Meyer not accepted the job originally, their 2nd choice was Petrino
no doubt that he'd jump ship
