Mostly a website called footballcoachscoop.com, that some say is very reliable.

Dallas Cowboys:
Our sources tell us that Owner Jerry Jones still hasn't picked up the option for next season on Phillips who is in the final year of a three-year contract. We
have confirmed that Jones does have interest in LSU Head Coach Les Miles. It is expected that Phillips will not be back in Dallas unless they make it to
the Super Bowl, according to our sources.

ETA: its footballcoachscoop.com I changed it above

+1 but there's no way they take him. if he isn't a dumbass, then his mannerisms and coaching blunders certainly don't help his case any.

the more i think about this rumor the more i think saban would be a better fit, assuming he wins the NC in Pasadena. Saban would be the first coach to have two NC from two different college programs. With that said, i believe Saban's arrogance and ego will haunt him about his failure at the NFL level, I bet he will want to correct that. Jerry Jones being a Arkansas alum would serve his school well by recruiting Saban to Dallas. Just my opinion.

Dallas isn't big enough for Saban and Jerry Jones.

ESPN also reported this on the radio. It said Stoops and Miles are possibilities. Not sure how much fire there is around this smoke but we will find out next month.

I agree. About the time Saban told Jerry to butt out, and that HE is the coach.... it'd be "Adios Nicky."

A lot of people have asked me to pull back on the criticism of Miles (although I think most of those people are Alabama fans).

This legitimate rumor may be the best reason I can think of to do so.

If les leaves in the next three years for any reason, we will not win the SEC until after 2020. Miles does some thing bad, but he does a lot of other things really really well. You don't have the best 5 year stretch in school history by dumb luck.
