quote:Strongly disagree- And remember also, we are talking college, not pro. Pistol Pete would be an even better player with someone to truly pass to- as good of a shooter as he was, his best attribute was passing & with this starting 5 & bench, his assists would be out the window. To have a Chris Jackson & Hi C Carter off the bench, Carolina doesn't scare me. Then you have players like Bob Pettit, an icon in his day. Not to mention, a monster rebounder/shot blocker like Shaq- I will take the LSU team against anyone.
with the exception of 1-2 players, I don't think they would play as a "team". Some great individual players, but not good "team" players.

All time UCLA team would be good competition:
Kareem Abdul Jabbar = Center
Bill Walton - played C but have to have him on floor so PF
Marques Johnson - SF (5 time NBA all star, won player of the year his senior season at UCLA)
Gail Goodrich - PG (also 5 time NBA all star)
Reggie Miller - SG
Some a-hole named John Wooden would coach them.
LSU's guards are definitely better, but it would be a battle in the trenches.
