It looks like LSU is still having problems with clock management. For the past three interview sessions the media has waited outside in the rain for an extra 50 minutes last Thursday, an extra 45 minute in the cold on Saturday and an extra 40 minutes tonight while the team finished it's practice sessions. Glad tidings to you too this Christmas Season.

NOW that my Scrooge moment is over, let me tell you something cool. The media got it's first chance to meet and talk with new wide receiver coach Billy Gonzales. First impressions are that he's a pretty energetic guy who's on top of it, and it's easy to see why coach Les Miles wanted him on board. Gonzales talked about working along side offensive coordinator Gary Crowton and offensive line coach Greg Studrawa in previous jobs, and keeping a working relationship with several of the other coaches during his time in college ball.

Gonzales made it a point, on numerous times, that he's not here to take over for Crowton, instead he's there to help Crowton with organization as well as play selection. As the new passing game coordinator, Gonzales has already helped the receivers and quarterbacks with their timing. Quarterback Jordan Jefferson said that in 7 on 7 drills the receivers and quarterback have been working at an 80% completion rate, clearly an increase from previous rates, if Jefferson's tone was any indicator.
