Do we really only have 3 tackles on next years team? Davenport, Downs, Nevis? Who am I missing.

isn't there a kid named Dennis Johnson who is actually pretty decent. I believe he is a walk on, he works his tail off in practice and could contribute. Pretty sure he plays DT

That is not good. We may need for Freak Johnson to skip his senior year.

If Cassius Marsh turns out to be halfway decent the kid will be on the field next year with our lack of depth. Hope the kid is working out!

Brockers, Downs and Davenport will all be pretty good next year, imo. We have some good young talent but they'll need to grow up really quick to play in the SEC every week.

I just hope he ends up here. I never truly believe a recruit from that far away will actually be here until after he sends in his letter on signing day.

I've been saying that for a while now and people dismiss it saying that Davenport will be a beast..yada yada. No one knows how good the kid will be. We know Nevis and Downs, but some DE's will have to bulk up and play some DT. Which ones? We will see next year. Between that and the Young LB's that got no PT last year, the defense is a big concern.

man, I didn't realize it had gotten that bad! what's worse is that after next year our oldest guy will just be a Junior, and we'll only have one of them.

Can't believe this is all we have in the cupboard...

Yes, going into Spring practice. The bottom line is somebody has to switch. The top candidates seems to be Brockers and Logan. Aghayere could be switched also, IMO.

Plus you have Marsh and Blackmon coming in. I'd look for Brockers to be the 4th DT next season, backing up Josh Downs.

Drake Nevis will be a senior next year.

Davenport = Al Woods, more or less
Downs > Charles Alexander (post-injury)

We'll be fine. Nevis and Downs will start. Davenport and Brockers will relieve them. Everything is going to be alright.

I'd rather redshirt Marsh and especially Blackmon if possible. We didn't have many DTs this year, so I think we can be okay with Downs,Davenport,Nevis, and Brockers. Plus Ageherye can move inside.

Is there any reason you are making this comparison other than overall size? I was hoping Davenport could get more of a pass rush than Woods could.

I think Downs might be a little quicker than a pre-injury Alexander. Downs always seemed to be pretty quick off the snap.

No. I am just assuming he is a space clogger like Woods or Cody and not a pass rusher like Downs.

Is it official that Hicks is gone after the season? I thought I remember reading that all of this fiasco wouldn't have any effect on his eligibility.

I don't think so. I'm not sure it will be.
