My parents are finally getting a high def tv for Christmas. I talked them into getting a PS3 by telling them it was the best blu ray player. So now I need to recommend a movie that will live up to the expectations.
TIA

For sound and video, I'd say that Transformers 2 is a good choice. But, if you need something with a story... I'd find something else.

you cheap worthless frick
you "talked them into?" - buy them the damn thing for christmas yourself you ungrateful bastard. And you think it's the best? or, you just want a video game system at your parents so your kids can have something to do while you sneak out to Pancho's????

To his defense, I've heard that the PS3 really is the best Blu ray player. And to answer the question, I just got the new Star Trek and it looks pretty good.

I was surprised with GI Joe last night.

I have heard that it was one of the best. How much would a good one cost?

Star Trek
Up
Inglourious Basterds
IB is a lot of dialogue but scenes with guns have great sound.
FWIW, Target currently has a $5 off Bluray coupon good until 12/24 and Up and District 9 are $20 next week, so $15 with the coupon.
I got IB for $12 this week from Target and I haven't paid more than $17 for a Bluray new release in quite awhile because Amazon and Walmart keep undercutting each other's prices for the popular titles.
Here's a link to download a .pdf with three of the Target coupons on one page. LINK
